This topic made me reflect on how challenging online participation can feel, especially when entering new digital environments and using unfamiliar tools. I think many people feel insecure at first, particularly when they are expected to share reflections openly online. The discussions also made me realise how important digital literacy and AI literacy have become in education today.
One thing I found especially interesting was the discussion about AI literacy and how AI is now connected to almost every part of digital life. I reflected on how important it is for both students and educators to understand not only how to use AI tools, but also how to critically evaluate the information they provide and understand their limitations.
I also reflected on the role of educators in online environments. I think teachers today need to act more as facilitators who guide students through digital spaces, help them feel safe, and support them in developing critical thinking skills. Creating a respectful and supportive online environment is becoming just as important as teaching the course content itself.
Overall, this topic helped me understand that online participation is not only about technology, but also about confidence, communication, responsibility, and learning how to navigate digital spaces safely and critically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I really enjoyed learning about NotebookLM from Tamara because I had never used it before. It was interesting to see how it can help organise information and create summaries in a structured way.
