…well, hello there

The last time I tried writting a blog was exactly 13 years ago, when I moved to Karlskrona, Sweden, and my friends – some of them sick of my incredibly long emails full of accounts of my life, thoughts and whatnots, kindly suggested creating a blog instead of… sending them kilometric emails they felt compelled to at least start reading (I guess).

That did the trick – I started my blog and suddenly, I got notes from strangers asking me random things that were somehow related to my posts but nothing to do with the actual meaning or content of the post. Long story short, I wrote like 3 entries and let the whole blogging thing die. Until now.

Let’s see how it goes.

We started the course and the more I learn about it and see how it works, the louder I hear the little voice in my head whispering

“If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn’t. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn’t be. And what it wouldn’t be, it would. You see?”

Oh Alice, Alice… wait… call me Ginnie and… what am I getting myself into?

fyi. the text in italics is a citation from Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, because, right now, I’m in a quasi-Alice-in-wonderland moment… chasing the time (need to write my dissertation this Fall) in awe of what I’ll find and, right now, feeling like I’ve just got into the bottomless hole.

  1. Hi Ginnie and I am so sorry to be able to find you this late!
Hope my comments won’t fall into the category of “strangers asking for random things” though 🙂
I’ll jump in with my best wishes for your thesis production process and with an observation from the last term that some people appear to me as natural-bloggers even if they don’t seem to be liking it on their first try. I think you are one too!
