Unfortunately as my schedule was very tight I missed two important sessions on this topic titled online and blended learning. Nevertheless, the discussions the topic made me reflect on how challenging online and blended learning design has become with the rapid development of AI. I realised that online teaching is not only about using technology, but also about creating engaging learning experiences that promote critical thinking and trust between teachers and students.

The discussions about assessment and AI were especially interesting because AI can now produce very advanced assignments. This made me reflect on the need for more active and process based assessments instead of only focusing on final written work.

I also found the balance between synchronous and asynchronous learning important, since both approaches support learning in different ways. Overall, this topic helped me understand that good online learning design requires a balance between pedagogy, technology, flexibility, and accessibility.
