Hi, fellow learners, this is my first attempt at creating a wordpress blog, so bear with me; I have to admit that it was a challenging task. My evaporated skills in InDesign might have been helpful today, but instead I finally capitulated, lowered my ambitions of something aesthetically brilliant, and took in a couple of youtube videos. Still, I realise that the verbal content, the reflections that we are going to post here, will be superior to the visual delight.

When I teach undergraduate students in literature, I want to lure them into the magical worlds, journeys, times, spaces, and human beings that they otherwise never would encounter. A varied, fun, and challenging course is always the ambition. Before the covid-19 made our world pandemic, I was used to online teaching and wanted to develop and improve both teaching and learning, something that happened more or less automatically during the last year. However, with experience there is always a risk of stagnation, of feeling or getting too comfortable. I believe that an online network course such as this, may be exactly the challenge needed to avert that stagnation.

Onwards!
