Starting late – but with ambitions to last
I have recently begun a pedagogical course in open networked learning. The aim is to equip teachers with tools to conduct open networked learning courses in the future. I feel I had over-planned and am not a good student. One explanation, but not excuse, is that as part of the course introduction I started/found an old not used Twitter account (@vanja.berggren) and have somehow found time to start to follow lots of politicians twitters account and found it first too interesting. But also felt sorry and a bit surprised over the overwellming negative wording those persons has to take as part of their position to be an twitter person. As I now I will take a break from twitter and try to catch up with the course to get to learn about open networked learning.
But first a reflection that the twitters I follow, as everywhere, is full of Corona virus panic. It is a super serious global health issue, it is, but panic is seldom a good way forward. Here in Africa I meet a more relaxed attitude, still caring, still concern, but few panic and more seams to be trusting it will solve in a long-term perspective, as things use to do. Hope to keep calm when I soon come back home to Sweden.
Wishing the best health for everyone! Take care – wash hand and do not kiss persons you don’t know where they have been before
The best wishes,
Vanja
