The Topic 4, Design for online and blended learning, encountered me in my worst period regarding online learning. I have been teaching online since summer 2020 (North hemisphere) and the last two weeks have been extremely hard regarding time planning. I’m exhausted, besides my teaching duties, my research is extremely important in terms of my academic interests and my career.

I feel sometimes, because this is a compulsory situation, that online learning is just a B option. I ask myself… why the best universities in the world want to comeback as soon as possible to on campus education?

In the other hand, I have discovered through my group, PBL 6 , that online it doesn’t mean bad quality or just a cheap solution. Several tools that are not present or are extremely expensive for on-campus learning are available (and affordable) online. Videos, links, data, etc. are easy to find in the web. A course prepared in advance online it could be so good and effective as an on-campus course… but this is the tricky condition: TIME.

I’m a bit frustrated (confuse) that I’m less convice now about online learning than at the beggining of #ONL2021. Let’s see if topic 5 can change my mind.
