The themes touched on in this topic seemed a rather logical conclusion of the course matter. It connected many of the concepts and approaches covered in to more practical applications. To me many of the approaches covered during this last theme have been new such as Community of Inquiries as well as different approaches in designing for learning in the digital environment. As I have not had the opportunity to hold any regular classes as a teacher I have not really been able to reflect so much on my current practices. However, I definitively think a lot of the matter we have covered here and the more practical approaches in designing for learning will be of great value in the future as we are developing our library instruction especially in educating our students in information literacy.

As during the previous topics the group work process has gone really smoothly. Christian introduced an, at least to me new, tool which the group agreed on had great potentials in designing for online and hybrid learning. I think it took a while for me to understand the usability of this tool aptly named Learning Designer which perhaps from the outset was not so intuitively graspable especially if you are not involved in regular teaching I suppose. However with the help of the groups collected wisdom and experience I eventually came to realize the tools real benefits. As the other group members have given more elaborate explanations of these I will not try to repeat them. I think to further appreciate the tool I simply will have to try out it in a real setting which may well be the case in the future. “To learn how to swim you have to get in the water” as has been our recurring expression during this learning process introduced by our “mentor” Hans. Anyway this topic as well as the others definitively has given me much food for thought as well as more practical approaches to explore for some time ahead!
