• What are the most important things that you have learnt through your engagement in the ONL course? Why?
ONL has been a very new course compared to what I have ever done as a course. The most important thing that I have learn is get a bit more acquainted to this new universe of “Openess” (open science, learning, teaching, publishing, communities etc) and all the discussions, possibilities, criticalities around it. It has been an important contribution in term of literacy in the domain.
The other second thing is the fact of putting it in practice openness in our small group. In this regard, the course allowed me to realize that I was already in open teaching/research approach in my own practices, even though I was not using the term “open”
The third thing that I have learned is to use some technical tools for collaboration: such as Miro or Jamboard.
• How will your learning influence your practice?
I will surely continue to explore the different potentials connected to distance/ blended/ hybrid teaching/learning by being a bit more clear/conscious in my head!
Concerning research then, after this course, I have proposed a colleague to organise a workshop on open access publishing in order to explore more pro and contra of OA.
• What are your thoughts about using technology to enhance learning/teaching in your own context?
During the pandemic we were all induced to discover the potentials of technology in teaching. And I must say, that I have learnt a lot and surely more than if I were to choose it. I am now much more “pro” or at least open to try and discover it than before. This course has definitely contributed to it as well.
• What are you going to do as a result of your involvement in ONL? Why?
I am not sure what should I say here. This question seems to me very close to the second question.
• What suggestions do you have (activities and/or in general) for development of eLearning in your own teaching or context?
Two suggestions:
1) I to use more the specificity of each participants’ discipline to work on the different topic. The fact that participants come from very different disciplinary background seems to me something to valorize during the workshops. And It would be a good occasion to train/discuss interdisciplinarity.
2) It could be an idea to work on transversal topic such as climate change or sustainability to have a common and concrete basis to work on.
