Hi, my name is Katarzyna. I am a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language. I like to invite my students to to the world of discovery. Today I am about to start my own journey of discovery thorough Open Networked Learning. I will not be alone. There is a group of other like-minded teachers from all over the world. I our community we will discover new ways of online learning and new ways of learning about the world.

To be convincing, teachers must teach what the preach. They must feel what the students feel when they immerse themselves in new learning experiences. Since all teaching moved online last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it makes sense to let teachers experience what online learning is all about and how it feels on the other side – they must look from the students’ perspectives. Teaching and learning are the two sides of the same coin!

In our online course we are going to explore the following areas:

– Online participation & digital literacies

– Open Learning – sharing and openness

– Learning in communities – networked collaborative learning

– Design for online and blended learning

Then the time will come for reflection. I can’t wait to see what the course is going to be like!
