I’m really excited to be taking this course. New ways to learn keep my brain cells alive! Putting myself into situations that I may not be entirely familiar or comfortable with are a great way to feel the pulse of the world today, and to connect with myself.
I am a scientist-educator-career coach, but at the heart of it all I am a learner. My educator journey is enriched by the fantastic diversity of people, students, learners that I have met over the years. Each one has added a new experience to my own perspective on teaching and learning. Each one has their own learning style that I have grown to be mindful of.
As an educator I facilitate Team Based Learning courses for undergraduates, adult learning workshops in educational practices for faculty and healthcare staff, and career readiness sessions for researcher students and staff.
The world today is replete with digital tools! Perhaps an overwhelming way to stay connected. I’m hoping to decipher meaning into these digital resources so I can stay informed, make wise selections of tools to stay meaningfully engaged with my learners.
Meeting my NUS team mates at the ONL orientation was a great icebreaker. Thank you Alan and Hafizah for a great session in getting us familiar with essential tools. Looking forward to the next several weeks with my peers.
