Open Networked Learning 191, a course, a community, an approach in our development as PBL group 10 has been a great experience and a half to learning through solving real life problems. The scenarios presented during each topic allowed very diverse and interesting reactions/contributions from group members which made me realize how one scenario can have several outcomes depending on approach and dimension. The scenarios become by default the context of wide learning. Diverse background of group members also resulted to enriched discussions from personal experiences. Effective collaboration through teamwork developed our communication and social skills over the period of learning which increased motivation to learn.  It also encouraged a high level of critical thinking amongst members as we would give open feedback to each other. This was all possible by effective facilitation and support by the tutors who moderated the discussions in a very conducive online environment.

Personally this has been an extremely encouraging experience in my very young and naive teaching career. I have learnt how to use various digital resources in teaching. Synchronous and asynchronous sessions in the online space helped me learn time management skills throughout the course. I have learnt how to be more responsible for my own learning. This has been a very practical and efficient way of learning as I have improved my critical problem solving ability and interpersonal skills. I will be able to adapt this approach to learning in my work as the visual nature of delivery of the course content including the discussions increases social and emotional presence. I look forward to adapting the numerous digital tools available to enhance my teaching

This approach to learning will provide additional opportunities for students to work collaboratively. The motivation to learn is higher and it allows for knowledge application. Further, discussions allow wide coverage of the topics increasing the wealth of knowledge obtained. Most importantly, the networks created will exist beyond the course period hence we will become lifelong learners considering the fact that learning is dynamic.

My colleagues are looking forward to be part of the next ONL team of graduates!!!!! Thank you ONL 191 fraternity
