ONL is indeed an addictive programme. As a novice educator, this programme has brought me to a whole new world of digital tools: Mural, Miro, Sutori, Slack, Padlet, Meme Generator, Blog. What fascinates me most about the course is that, within a short span of time, our group seized the opportunity to try out new tools each week. We recognized the strengths and limitations of various digital tools as a team.

Next, our facilitators of group 4, Alan and Lena are our anchors who not only hold on to us throughout the weeks but also navigated us to sail through the programme smoothly. I liked how they set the tone for our group in the very first meeting- (1) getting to know each other, (2) ground rules, (3) optimizing communication between team members. Instead of leading every session, our facilitators empowered us (participants) the responsibility to take a lead.

A key take home point is that for professional development, opportunities for international learning and research collaborations could be facilitated in a digital medium. As the saying goes, when there is a will, there is a way. In my PBL team the participants are from all over the world: Africa, Sweden, Finland, Germany & Singapore. Despite the time differences, we worked a way out to meet and communicate throughout the ONL course. Thank you all for imparting us with the knowledge and skills set to develop and implement online courses in the future.
