During this topic it was very interesting to see that younger students do not want to participate during the online sessions. We as lecturers need to help them and let them feel comfortable to participate and it means that we need to show them how to do it and also provide rules in the beginning to know what is expected of them. Although they are young we need to guide them and create “informal” activities to help them to be able to participate and feel comfortable. There are different ways to facilitate and boost participation and to start of with clear guidelines and also you as a facilitator need to familiarize your self before you start – your way of presenting will also roll over to your students.
