It was an interesting and happy topic to work on, we had just one week to sum up our experience of ONL202. We used some digital tools (an image macro or a meme) to make a collage to represent our experience and feeling. I was happy about my journey, I have learned a lot, and will learn more. ONL opened a window to a new horizon. ONL is a demanding course, whenever I got the opportunity to talk to some attendees, they mentioned: “ONL requires time and focus”. Though it is a joyful and prosperous course, to get most out of it I suggest to join the course when you have time to focus, read a lot and enjoy. This results in a synergic effect and makes the course impact exponentially higher.
It was a privilege to meet people from different parts of the world, talk to them, collaborate with them, and develop a relationship. Our collaborative work went further and we fixed a time for our next meeting in Jan 2021. It was an outstanding experience the “global collaboration”.
How to write this post? … I think the interview mood is a nice one. Thus, I assumed I have been interviewed about ONL202.
Q. What are the most important things that you have learned through your engagement in the ONL course? Why?
A. Through online learning, I can collaborate effectively and productively with my peers globally.
Q. How will your learning influence your practice?
A. Of course, the impact is high. I mainly design my course based on topic 4 and topic 5.Collaborative course material and more personalized based on the students’ needs and demands. I will use “flipped learning” method.
Q. What are your thoughts about using technology to enhance learning/teaching in your own context?
A. I was using technology, but the current circumstance we go through “pandemic”, is urging us to implement technology more and more in our daily life. Education is not an exception. Pandemic dragged us to a situation that we feel and perceive technology as an essential wing of education at all levels.
Q. What are you going to do as a result of your involvement in ONL? Why? What suggestions do you have (activities and/or in general) for the development of eLearning in your own teaching or context?
A. By attending this course I stepped in the path, my journey has started which is very important. Everything has evolved, education as well. ONL educated me about eLearning and the evolving methods of teaching and learning, it was like a rough sketch which I will shape by implementing it in real life experience. I got access to the resources, to escalate my knowledge and my teaching methods. I wish there was a complementary course, so I could discuss and learn from experts in the field of education. Our facilitators and some of my teammates were in the education field, it was their area of work. Therefore, I learned from them but, it will more if I could attend a more advanced course after ONL.
