In this blog I write as I reflect on my lessons learnt:
Firstly – joining the ONL course was amazing – I met the most wonderful and digitally knowledgeable facilitator: Alastair and our co-facilitator Mboni.
Then let me say – what an amazing team (ONL 01) to collaborate with: Pinar, Yadhna, Peter, Diego and Anna-Karin. You guys are the best! – the sharing and assisting each other was a wow for me – no one felt like they knew more, or above the rest – but each one gave their views and allowed the others to share their views without any interruptions – Thanks guys!
I looked forward to our meetings as I learnt something new at every meeting.
I learnt so many different tools to collaborate as a team – my favourite being “Padlet” which I hope to integrate into my Online Staff Development which I currently manage at a Private Higher Education.
I learnt that no matter which country we live in – we can reach out and have a perfect meeting in the Zoom room.
I learnt how to blog and Tweet
I learnt that blended learning/online learning will be the pedagogical model of the future.
A big thank you to the originators of the ONL – my knowledge on the use of digital tools, openness and sharing, blended learning, learning in communities, etc. has certainly increased in just a few months.
So – I conclude by saying that technology is here to stay – so I need to ensure that I remain a digital resident if I wish to continue my career especially in the Tertiary environment!
