ONe first bLog!

Very original, i know..but we all have to start somewhere, and this is my first blog post ever!

I am a Romanian who, once upon a time, decided to study a master in Lund, Sweden, and somehow got stuck in this cute little city for longer than i would imagine. Fast forward 10+ years, i am still here, now working as a lecturer at the department of Business Administration.

I consider myself still unexperienced as a teacher, and I feel that there is much more i would like to learn and improve. In an ideal world, i would want to have sufficient knowledge – of both my topic and various tools – to make my lectures not only informative and clear, but also interactive and somewhat entertaining.

The shift to online lectures and learning due to corona made me realise that the ”tools” are perhaps as important as the topic itself. I found myself panicking when Zoom started to lag , when the students complained my voice became robotic, or whenever i would miss something in the chat or share the wrong window. I also felt that, given that i am ”only” 35, there is a certain pressure to be tech-savvy. After all I am a millenial (?!)..

So, something needed to be done – and why not start with a course on Open Learning?
