Hi,
Recently I started a course in online learning called Open Networked Learning (ONL). The course ”addresses teachers, course designers, educational developers and learning technologists in higher education” (ONL212). My interest in the course come from my role as lecturer at Luleå university of technology (LTU) where I often have students participating on distance. At LTU we see an increasing number of students that wants/need to participate as a distance student. We still have students who are accepted as campus students and therefore we try to combine course activities together with campus and distance, something called Hybrid education. Read more about definition of Hybrid education in this picture (acknowledgement Diana Chronéer, Ltu). This is although something that raises the demands on us as teachers, which we also experienced. One of the challenges is to create a good environment for both groups of students and not have a linear way of thinking: From physical classroom to virtual classroom. We have to raise the bar and think of the learning environment for the whole group.
I started at Ltu in 2009 and have since then been involved in a number of courses. My main area is product- and service development and often have hands-on project courses where students works with problem based learning. Today I teach mostly in the study programs in System science and Digital service innovation. I like teaching and have always been interested in development and research. I graduated with a master’s degree in engineering from Luleå University of Technology in 2009. The program I studied is called Arena innovative technology and entrepreneurship and is a program with an interdisciplinary character, where I studied specialization in mechanical engineering. I then began a doctoral program in the field of Functional Products, where my focus was on early phases of product-service development, concept development and innovation in teams. In the spring of 2016, I defended my dissertation: Team activities in concept development: Addressing open-ended problems.
About me, outside my profession: I have three boys, between 3 to 10 years, which I spend a lot of time with. I like outdoor activities and are involved in a number of sport clubs, mostly sprint kayaking and cross-country skiing. I also like hiking and hunting. Likes to invent things and has had different companies linked to different business ideas.
Best regards
