I am senior lecturer in physiotherapy and associate professor in aging research at Karolinska Institutet (KI). I am also vice-principal investigator of the Swedish National study on Aging and Care in Kungsholmen (SNAC-K: http://www.snac-k.se) population-study. I obtained my PhD in physiotherapy at KI. Thereafter, I did my postdoctoral training first at the Sahlgrenska Academy in Gothenburg and then at the Aging Research Center, KI.

I have arranged several courses in physiotherapy and geriatric epidemiology/public health. Currently, I am responsible for the master course in dementia care for physiotherapists and occupational therapists at KI. I am also responsible for a freestanding course on health in old age from a multidimensional perspective. Furthermore, I teach physiotherapy students in global health, research methodology, and geriatrics.
