A course, a community, an approach
Here come my thoughts as part of ONL211 topic 3.
My
Reflection of ONL 202 For this blog post I want to reflect upon the last ten weeks, for which I have been a part of the Open Networked Learning course and I want to reflect my experiences with the help of guiding questions that have been provided by the ONL facilitators. In old “FISh”-traditionContinue reading “Friday, December 18th”
For this blog post’s topic, I didn’t have to think for a long time. When we discussed a change in teacher-student roles, I immediately thought about the concept of critical pedagogy. A concept which emphasizes how closely related social justice and democracy are to practices of learning and teaching. It was crucially influenced by theContinue reading “Monday, December 14th”
I am very surprised how deep, and evidence based my understanding was developed of what enables purposeful and meaningful learning processes and how it can be initiated, designed and supported in an online environment. The course was a door-opener for new concepts and ways of teaching concepts, to an expanding pedagogical competence and a greatContinue reading “A transformational journey – my final course reflections about the online networked learning course “ONL202”“

We laugh about such historical pictures, but is this style of teaching really gone? How about new learning theories and the learning practice? Digital learning in the 21st century does not mean automatically progressive learning theories or pedagogy as Georg Siemens not so long ago pointed out: I posted my ideas to overcome this on“Nuremberg funnel is out! ?” weiterlesen

Of course the collaborative acting group could solve the problem with joy and success. For better understanding“Collaborative – Cooperative” weiterlesen
That is the message to be learned as the part of the course. Looking in my reflection diary at that time I felt „brainwashed“ and „stalked“ from the provider of the tools I have tried. Worldpress would not give up to overload me with advertisement, padlet was only free for three padlets; I faced borders“If it is open and free, you are the product.” weiterlesen
This time I want to start my blog post with the end of it because there is just such an abundance of concepts and findings I want to reflect today. Thats why I am going to share directly my main personal findings about the question how to Design for online and blended learning: Interaction orContinue reading “Keys Success Factors for Designing Online- and Blended Learning Courses”
How to establish and foster an online learning community? During Topic 3 „Learning in communities – networked collaborative learning“ we discussed our experiences within the learning community that we are a part of currently. The question that was still on my mind when the topic was finalized: How can I create a successful, supportive andContinue reading “Wednesday, November 18th”
What are differences between collaborative work, group work and connected learning? Why do we have to distinguish between networks and communities for learning? What are the opportunities of working consciously within the own “Personal Learning Network” and how can we avoid social loafing and other phenomens in unversity group learning settings? A Personal Learning NetworkContinue reading “Learning with and from others and some challenges in the university context”
As we all know there are several ways of learning. We can read books, watch videos, visit courses, observe someone else doing something, asking someone what we would like to know, investigate in studies or in the internet and so on. And it is interesting that in all ways or let’s say the most waysContinue reading “Thoughts about open education and sharing our expertise”
