I am Eugene and I am a lecturer at the Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). After finishing my Doctor of Medicine from the University of Santo Tomas in 2014, I pursued a specialization in Occupational Medicine and I am now a Diplomate of the Philippine College of Occupational Medicine (PCOM). I worked in Perpetual Hospital‐Manila and several companies as an industrial and occupational health Physician.

I started teaching in 2006 and I have experience in the Philippines and Singapore. I was previously with the School of Health Sciences, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, and also had a stint as an associate lecturer with Curtin University (Singapore).

In 2005, I was a visiting Physician at Hospital Universitari Clinic Barcelona in Spain and I trained in HIV and infectious diseases. I completed my Global Health Diploma from the National Public Health Institute (KTL) and the University of Helsinki in Finland. Before coming back to Asia, I also completed a couple of medical exchanges in Charité Hospital (Berlin) and Medizinische Hochschule (Hannover) in Germany. At the National University of Singapore, I am currently teaching Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology and a committee member of National University Health System (NUHS) Total Workplace Safety & Health (TWSH).

On a lighter note, I enjoy traveling, reading books, playing badminton and I am a confessed foodie.
