It no doubt that money can solve 98.99% of the problem we faced today. For instance, in order to curb load shedding, the country need 5 more power stations in order to supply enough energy and so on. However, the challenges that faced our people in our communities like teenage pregnancies, the drug use, the crime and literacy rate decline need our community leaders to seat down and take decisions that well change the way communities operate. In addition, these leader have authority to do so and all they lack is to use their absolute authority.

I grew up in rural areas in an area where kings and chiefs are still respected. They do not take advantage of the people’s respect as they act to ensure that our people are protected and in return are acting ethical in their communities. In addition to that, until I left my community, there was not even a one report of crime, rape, and violence. This is as a results of strong leadership, community values, community principles that were instilled to us as young people. I believe that we are here today because of keeping those values wherever we go with an aim of passing them to the next generation.

I believe that one of the solution to the contemporary problems facing our townships todays can only be solve if our community leaders, let alone the government can seat down and take a stance, develop community values, principles and rules that are going to be used in order to instill the way they were raised by their parents. By doing so, the kids and young growing up today will know that their future is not on drugs, their future is not on crime it is on their actions and education.

I believe Dr. Jannie Mouton, the founder of PSG Wealth was right when he said, “our problems need no capital but actions”.

SOME OF OUR PROBLEMS NEED NO CAPITAL BUT STRONG LEADERSHIP
