So Topic 3 was about collaboration vs cooperation, and there were some good takeaways for this topic. The Initial idea behind the unit was to design a course on mining, but this got a little complicated. Who would have thought that digging holes and blowing up things in the ground was that complex… but yep….. yep… it is

The alternative idea was to settle on an experiment, and teamwork on this was amazing. A crossword puzzle was created, the unit of measure was created, the experiment parameters were agreed upon and applied successfully, and the project was uploaded on time.

Drama, however rocked my world when I forgot about one crucial aspect of this magic thing called email, the SPAM box. I was waiting for some deliverables to come in, but they never materialized, only to find those in the spam box after final hand-in. As an IT person, I have heard horror stories about missed meetings, deadlines and lost work due to SPAM, but to actually happen to me??? Well… that was definitely a first. This has definitely opened my eyes in the name of collaboration, to use more features with regards to google drive and Cloud services, as apposed to relying on email… but Life is the best teacher, and I suppose things would be a little to weird if things always ran smoothly.
