“Can an old dog learn new tricks?” In term of teaching years, I am considered an old teacher. I have been teaching in the National University of Singapore (NUS) since 1994. For my 25 years of service, I received a long-service medal from the Singapore Government during the national day in 2019.

My areas of research and teaching are real estate development, investment and finance. I use case studies, problem-based learning and story telling in my teaching. Like many, I have no experience teaching online prior to Covid-19. I believe in life long learning. I signed up for this course to learn how to design and conduct a course online.

I am currently President of the International Real Estate Society, which is a federation of 6 sister societies, include American, European, Pacific Rim, Asian, Africa and Latin America. I am also a Fellow of the NUS Teaching Academy (NUSTA) (https://www.nus.edu.sg/teachingacademy/ ) and Vice-Dean (Academic) for the School of Design and Environment (SDE).

In my spare time, I volunteer as a guide at the Healing Garden @ Singapore Botanic Gardens. I enjoy telling stories about plants to the visitors.

Who, me?
